Born in Michigan, Neta Lohnes Frazier has spent most of her life in the Spokane area. She graduated from Whitman College and taught English in Waitsburg, WA. During the 1930s she worked for the Spokane Valley Herald and began her fiction writing career. She has more than a dozen books and many articles to her credit. Westminster Congregational Church, originally known as First Congregational Church, is the oldest established church in the city of Spokane. H.T. Cowley served as lay minister over a congregation that included Indian converts as well as Whites. The earliest church records were destroyed along with the church in the fire of 1889.
